BRIAN MONTGOMERY

My name's Brian & I'm a single father living in Brooklyn, NY. The origins behind my Black Cowboy name go back to my days in high school. Ever since then I went from wanting to do stand-up to writing books. The book that first made me wanna write is after I read Maya Angelou's "Why the Caged Bird Sings". The message I got from it was about breaking out and spreading the message and awareness. I also played volleyball for Medgar Evers and used to run track at Monroe College. I like playing chess and a sports fanatic as well.

Here's about what I do and how I roll. I perform at open mics occasionally and will post about book signings and releases. I can be reached for to do local book signings as well. I'm not in it for the money, just to spread my message of awaring the public to simply wake up.
